This site is the personal site of Mike Turro. This site is in a state of flux. This site is an experiment, a process, a way to take the words, images, and sounds that I create or find in the wild and use them as the base materials for an exploration of emerging web standards and practices. This site is an exercise in design technology. This site is unprofessional and broken. This site is open and evolving [in plain sight].

Yochai Benkler, for those who may not know him, is a Harvard law professor and author of the absolutely eye opening book The Wealth of Networks (you can read that book the same way I did – for free online – by going here). This video is from the July 2005 TED Conference and it still resonates today. Benkler has been touted as “the leading intellectual of the information age” by Lawrence Lessig (a contender for that title himself) and you could do a lot worse for your mind than spending seventeen minutes listening to him speak.
